Painted Bathroom Vanity
The boys bathroom vanity has been ordered and their bathroom reno is finally underway! I have already purchased the new shower and have picked out the tiles for the floor. Even though we are completely removing the old vanity I still wanted to see what it would look like painted the colour I had envisioned for it. So, crazy as it may seem I painted the vanity, because that is what I do! I also painted the frame on the mirror white. Here is a reminder of what the vanity and mirror looked like before I painted them. (Check out part 3 of the renovation here.)
After painting the vanity and the mirror it looked like this:
Such a big improvement by just adding a little paint. Now I can see my vision of what the new vanity is really going to look like. The paint I used on the vanity came from some leftover paint that my mom had. It is a little bluer than the actual vanity that is being made for the space, but I think it still looks great.
I think I might keep the light fixture for now because I actually kind of like it. I might even keep the mirror too. It is still in good shape and now that it has been painted it looks quite nice. Although I don’t think it is actually attached to the wall anymore. It is just jammed in the space. You can see where the top right corner and the bottom left corner are touching the walls. I will have to get Kevin to help me remove it and re-attach it to the wall properly.
As you can see we also removed the medicine cabinet from the wall as well. This makes for a much cleaner neater space. Did you know that not many of the new homes being built these days have medicine cabinets in them anymore? I learn something new everyday! Learn how I removed the medicine cabinet here.
Here are some items of inspiration that I found for the bathroom. I have a month to pick everything out before the new vanity gets here, so much to do!

Can’t wait for the full renovation to be done! It wont be completed for another 2 months or so because the new vanity takes 6 weeks to be made. I will buy all the other bits and pieces in the next 6 weeks so that everything is ready for installation when the vanity arrives. Don’t forget to check out Part 3 of the renovation.
Thanks for stopping by!

If you don’t know how to do it search on youtube: how to
