Spray Painted Pumpkins
The dollar store is a great place to get cheap seasonal home decor items. Pumpkins for fall are great but the decorative ones can sometimes be expensive. Especially the white pumpkins that seem to be all the rage these days. I thought I would use some dollar store pumpkins and give them a makeover to get the designer look on a dollar store budget!
I laid out my pumpkins and then pulled out the stems. This was pretty easy to do since the pumpkins are pretty much just styrofoam. Then I went to my stash of spray paint to select the colours I wanted to use. Lucky for me I inherited my mom and dad’s collection of spray paint. They are in the process of moving and it’s not recommended to pack and store spray paint. I painted most of them white and two a platinum colour with automotive paint. Whatever works right?!
I gave them a couple of coats of white. I did this fairly fast because it took them no time for them to dry. Once they were all white I thought that they looked a little plain. So I took some chrome colour and gave them a light spray on top. It gave them the perfect little bit of glitter and sparkle! Almost like a Cinderella pumpkin!
Hop on over to my Fall Mantle Decor blog post to check out how they all turned out. I think they turned out great. Super easy and super cheap just they way I like to decorate!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by my blog today!
